After the Chinese New Year is over and China’s heat supply season comes to an end, all vendors from the industry upstream up to terminal will be confronted with the requirement of stable supplies. The market supply is expected to remain light until the end of CAC 2018.

Insecticide

With regard to insecticide, there has been a restrained supply of intermediates. Safety and environmental compliance requirements have resulted in a lower capacity running, while trading volume of all products stays relatively stable at a higher price level. Emamectin benzoate technical at Yuan1.13 million per ton.

Fungicide

The prices of fungicidal triazole technical have risen slightly, whereas difenoconazole technical, propiconazole technical, and hexaconazole technical all stay at a higher price level. Prochloraz technical and hymexazol technical vendors are still restrained by limited supplies of intermediates, which results in higher prices. Several major products are quoted as below:

Difenoconazole technical above Yuan230,000 per ton.

Tebuconazole technical at Yuan130,000 per ton is at low inventory and market price.

Intermediate tricyclazole at Yuan76,000 per ton is at a higher price level.

Carbendazim technical at Yuan38,000 per ton.

Pyraclostrobin technical at Yuan290,000 per ton, being impacted by the strained supply of 1-(4-chlorophenyl)-3-hydroxy-1-h-pyrazole.

Azoxystrobin at Yuan300,000 per ton.

Herbicide

Herbicide trade volume stays stable in general at a higher price level. With the stimulation of market and the strong backup of cost, the price of glyphosate technical has rebounded this month. Several major products are quoted as below:

Glyphosate technical at Yuan25,500 per ton. With the stimulation of market and the imminent CAC, 2018, the price of glyphosate appears to be rising.

Glufosinate-ammonium at Yuan190,000 per ton for export purpose, with limited stock for prompt delivery.

Acetochlor technical at Yuan27,500 per ton.

Metolachlor technical at Yuan29,000 per ton.

1,3-Cyclohexanedione at Yuan185,000 per ton. The intermediate of mesotrione technical, stays at a higher price level, being impacted by the strained supply of benzoic acid due to the explosion incident in Lianyungan.
