Butachlor + Propanil is a formulated mixture of herbicide, which could be used post-emergence to control a wide range of weeds effectively, esp. inrice.

 

Butachlor + Propanil Useage
Butachlor is used pre-emergence for the control of annual grasses and certain broad-leaved weeds inrice, both seeded and transplanted. It shows selectivity inbarley, cotton, peanuts, sugar beet, wheat and several brassica crops. Effective rates range from 1.0-4.5 kg/ha.
Activity is dependent on water availability such as rainfall following treatment, overhead irrigation or applications to standing water as in rice culture.

 

Propanil is a contact herbicide used post-emergence inrice, at 2.5-5.0 kg/ha, to control broad-leaved and grass weeds, including Amaranthus retroflexus,Digitaria spp., Echinochloa spp., Panicum spp., and Setaria spp. Also used,in mixture with MCPA, in wheat. Amixture with carbarylis used in citrus crops grown in sod culture.
